Always having loved and been fascinated by nature since living in London as a young child, I was fortunate, like Becker, to move to the country and live in this beautiful region surrounded by an abundance of natural subjects. Observing nature is a wondrous thing. I’ve been able to transfer my feelings to my style of painting. Using tissue to texture the surface which lends a tactile and contemporary edge to my paintings of trees, and wildlife illuminated by the sun or moonlight. Stags, hares and owls take centre stage for much of my work for 2016. Sue will be exhibiting in 2017.
