I love the way that Becker’s landscapes with figures tell the story of lives lived. East Anglia and our daily rituals have changed, but we still live in a landscape that Becker would find familiar. Tramlines and crops, farm buildings and figures all populate my work. My aim is to strike a relationship between these motifs and the spectacular colour Becker depicted which we see daily in East Anglia.
