Malcolm’s statement:
Observations in pencil and oil paint. Moments, views, characters and feelings – noted and framed. Captured experiences from this unique and subtle landscape.
I aim for an objective and honest depiction of time and place – feeling little need to romanticise or edit what is before me. In this regard, as I learn more about the work and life of Harry Becker, I feel that my work follows closely in his footsteps and I strive for his economy of line, value and colour.
