Helen Breach

New exhibitor in 2019.

As with Becker, drawing is a passion. Helen is never without a sketchbook. Although a skilled architectural draughtsperson, people and animals are helen’s forte. Becker enjoyed being an observer and recorder. Helen sketches rural scenes and faces in and around where she lives in Castle Acre. Every pring she makes an annual pilgrimage to the lamb pens at a local sheep farm, feeling at home making studies of the ewes and new born lambs. Using pencils, charcoal and pastels, Helen works rapidly, as Becker must have done, to create immediate responsive impressions.
