Our 2017 exhibition took place once again in the beautiful space that is St Peter’s Church, Wenhaston, Suffolk. 33 artists exhibited. Their details can be found by clicking on the “Artists” tab above.
We welcomed visitors to the show on Friday and Saturday (4th and 5th August) between 10am and 5pm, and on Sunday, 10 until 4pm. Around 130 hung works and a wide range of unframed pieces were on display, and for sale. Once again this year, on Saturday morning, we ran the ‘PAINT-OUT’ competition Click on this link Paint-out page for further details. Teas, coffees and light lunches were on sale in the Church Room on Saturday.
We were delighted to receive much praise once again from our visitors for our usual high level of presentation and the sense that this exhibition has a different heart to that of many shows of contemporary art, being made to celebrate and honour the fine artist who once lived in Wenhaston: Harry Becker.
Sales were excellent and the 3 days brought a steady flow of around 500 visitors in all.
